Frosty Nights: A Beginner's Guide to Winter Camping Clinic

While my winter camping experience is limited, I must admit, all were extremely memorable events and fun! Despite one of the nights being close to -14, I was toasty warm in my down bag and easily slept through the night.

Have you ever thought you would like to try winter camping? Well, now is your opportunity to get all the details and learn from those that regularly dare to brave the elements and lay under the stars in Cape Breton winter. In partnership with Hike Nova Scotia, Live Life in Tents' Lee Fraser will be at Escape Outdoors, Thursday, January 16 @ 6 p.m. to facilitate a Free Winter Camping Clinic.

At this clinic, you’ll leave with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and comfortably camp in a winter environment. Participants will learn about essential gear, clothing, techniques and safety considerations for winter camping.
